Gilded Letters
All letters are better with gold, yes? For our May program, Kate Van Dyke will guide us through drawing and gilding a decorated letter. During this hands-on program, we will paint and write with gold size and then apply real gold leaf. We will also experiment with imitation metal leaf. Then you will decorate your illuminated letters and writing however you choose. During the program, Kate will explain many mysterious terms and methods of gilding, both traditional and modern. Fear Not!
